Introduction
Previous EUTERP workshops have noted the importance of delivering effective radiation protection education and training to workers and other stakeholders. This EUTERP Workshop will consider how training can be optimized to make best use of resources to improve radiation protection in practice and promote a clear radiation safety culture. It will do so by discussing new developments and innovation in RP training, the value of needs analysis, deisgn of training, evaluation of effectiveness and impact, standards and competencies for trainers, and outreach and networking activities.
This Workshop will consist of presentations (oral and posters) intended to highlight the main issues, and a significant part of the programme will be devoted to discussions within working groups. Participants will be expected to produce recommendations on education and training issues, to be addressed to relevant local, national and international stakeholders.
This EUTERP workshop is organized in cooperation with the IAEA.
