Society for Radiological Protection (SRP)

SRP is a professional and learned society that was founded in 1963 and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 2007. Our Royal Charter states that the object of the Society is to “promote the science and art of radiation protection and allied fields for the public benefit”.

To this end we will:

  • Communicate radiation protection knowledge
  • Promote radiation protection education
  • Promote high scientific, educational, regulatory and professional standards
  • Work with other similar societies to meet our object
  • Manage our funds legally and, in particular, satisfy the Charities Acts
  • Promote high professional standards to the public benefit
  • Promote, support and celebrate inclusion and diversity
