New guidance on medical radiation in Spain
The Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM) has published a document explaining the implementation of European Union (EU) regulations covering medical radiation. The SERAM guidance is in response to the EU Directive on medical radiation in Spain to optimize the use of ionizing radiation in medical procedures and increase the safety of individuals exposed to medical radiation, which became legally effective through a Royal Decree on 1 November 2019.
