Annie Vanderlinck is a physicist (degree in 1979) with a Master of Science in Medical Physics and Health Physics (1990). She has worked for 10 years as medical physicist with duties in the radiotherapy department at a Brussels hospital. Since 2001 she has been working at AFCN and since 2010 she is at the Department Regulation, International Affairs & Development, in charge of all aspects of national and international regulation regarding the protection of man and the environment from ionizing radiation.
 
Her main interests and competence is in medical physics in radiotherapy and  radiology, radiation metrology and dosimetry applied to radiation protection and medical applications, requirements for radiation quantities and for dosimetry systems, education and training in radiation protection. Her work has led to reports by international working groups or committees mainly for radioprotection. She has served on international report committees and working groups of ISO, IEC, EC.
